Happy Midget Birthday!!

It's official, our midget is no longer a baby! She's now 2 years old... This evening we enjoyed a Sprinkles cup cake and a little Wiggley Party!! Let the festivities begin...

Kissing Bhudda!

Mommy was snapping pictures of the midget in the backyard, trying to capture a good photo of her on her 2nd birthday. Out of nowhere, Mia walks over to the Bhudda statue and gives a gentle kiss on the head! Amazing...

Stopping to Smell the Flowers!

This isn't the first time I've posted a picture of our little angel stopping and smelling flowers! It's truly amazing to see her curiosity and sense of enjoyment of the little things around her. She really is unique and so special... We should all remain so innocent and loving!

Wiggley Party!

Mia's obsession with the Wiggles is slowly giving way to a Barney obsession... Yep, that's right, that annoying purple dinosaur has found his way into our home! We have Momma to thank for that. Thankfully, Mia hasn't totally lost interest in the Wiggles yet. In fact, we are now having what we affectionally refer to as a Wiggley Party! She comes into Daddy's office, climbs up on the desk, we crank the Wiggles and everyone dances. It really is an amazing amount of fun! In fact, Dan & Amy visited this weekend with their beautiful daughters, Cassie & Katie. They partook in the fun and Mia made them all dance on one foot while shaking it to the Wiggles... Nothing like a 2 year old to make you drop all inhibitions!!

Spending Time in the Closet with Boys?!

Yep, Mia is sure growing up quickly! Whenever Easton comes over she tries to spend time alone with him in the pantry... Looks like I'm gonna have to pay Dave & Lindsey a visit to discuss their son's intentions!

Snow in Phoenix?!

Last week Mia's school held their annual 'Snow Day'! Yep, that's right, we're so pathetic here in Arizona that we truck in snow for the kids to play with... On a beautiful 75 degree winter day, Mia got to make snow angels and throw snow balls at the other kids! (just like her Daddy...) Momma looks cold, doesn't she?!

And the Craziness Continues...

Yep, I got sucked into the madness...

What the hell happened while Daddy was sleeping?!

Some strange thing happened last night in the Lovell house hold! When I awoke on this fine Sunday morning, my wife and daughter were playing a game which involed velcro helmets and a fuzzy ball... Imagine my fear when I discovered these strange creatures roaming about our home! Something isn't right about these two...

Snow Bunny!

This past weekend Daddy took his girls back to Cleveland for the annual company party. The weather was quite a treat! We got about a foot of snow... Mia made the best of it by making Daddy pull her around the yard on a sled! Tell me this isn't the cutest little snow bunny you've ever seen?! I couldn't help but think of the 'Christmas Story' movie with the little kid who is so bundled up he waddles around and can't move his arms. Yep, that was our midget... Adorable!

Sledding!!!!

What better way to enjoy the snow than to go sledding with the cousins! Uncle Chris & the kids met us, along with Aunt Cathy, for a little good old fashioned sledding fun... That is until Mia took a face plant half way down the hill, while joining her cousin Michael on a sled, and decided she'd had enough! She loved it and can't wait to visit next winter for some more fun in the snow. For now, it's back to warm weather!

Cookie Time?!

Any time is a good time for a cookie... Mommy & Mia got a chance to visit with Eileen & Greta while in Cleveland and Mia somehow finagled herself a treat! Who could say no to that sweet little face?!

Frequent Flyer!

Our little Midget is such a seasoned traveler by now that she's got her routine down. First a Barney movie, then a quick snack before fading off on Momma's lap! Must be nice... I've got to admit it's great to have such an easy baby. When the other kids on the plane are screaming and crying, she's usually just hanging out! We are definitely lucky...

Way back when...

As we approach Mia's 2nd birthday, I thought it might be fun to look back at where it all began... It's amazing that just 16 months ago we brought home our adorable, bald baby Mia, and had no idea what to expect! Now we've got a strikingly beautiful and alarmingly bright little girl who fills our days with a happiness that neither of us had any idea existed... I'm not sure what either of us have done to deserve such a perfect child, although I'm fairly certain the odds are better that we were rewarded for Mommy's saintly deeds, not Daddy's!! We often wonder, like all parents, what she'll look like or act like in another 10 or 20 years. We know the time will go too fast and we're doing our best to savor every moment. One thing is for sure, we were clearly the lucky one's in this whole adoption adventure!

Suckers! Mmmmmm...

Momma taught the midget all about suckers! Yummy... She wanted me to be sure and show everyone her blue tongue. Very appetizing, huh?!

The Morning After...

This picture says it all... Perhaps a bit too much fun on New Years Eve?! Mia had a blast hanging out with cousin Nicholas & her Great Aunt Ruthellen, while Mommy & Daddy went to a local dive bar with Aunt Cari & Uncle Perry. Looks like everybody over indulged! Here we come 2009. It's amazing that Mia will already be turning 2 in a few weeks... Yikes!
