The Wiggles!!

Tonight we took Mia to see her absolute favorite show of all time, The Wiggles! Dave & Lindsey brought Easton & Harlow who love The Wiggles too. I'm pretty sure Momma was more excited than the Midget. She's been talking about it for days, and when I woke up this morning the two of them were sprawled out on the living room floor making a big sign that said, "Mia & Easton Love The Wiggles"!! It was so cute. (Yes, we've become those parents...) We waved it at the show and they read it to the crowd! Mia was very excited to hear the Wiggles singing out her name... Here is a shot of Mia towards the end. She had clearly crashed from her adrenaline surge! So fun...

The Wiggles!!

Dancing in the aisles to the Wiggles!! Mia absolutely loved the show... She has a huge crush on Anthony!

Silly Cowgirl...

Even when hamming it up as a silly cowgirl our princess is still stunning! She is developing a hilarious sense of humor. It's amazing how often she does things just to screw with us now. Not to be difficult but to make us, or herself, laugh! This kid's gonna be a funny one...

Wisconsin Visit!

Mommy & Mia flew back to Milwaukee last week to visit old friends and family. They had a great time and enjoyed the break from the hot AZ summer! Here is Mia with Trenna & Savannah. As you can tell, she loves them and had an absolute blast getting to play and spend quality time with them...

First Bike Ride!

While in Wisconsin, Mia became obsessed with riding Sawyer's bike. It obviously had training wheels, but she did really well... Apparently she felt like a big kid, and worked hard to keep up with them. She's got skills!

Playing in the Rain!

This morning we awoke to our first storm of monsoon season! Mia isn't used to rain, so we immediately grabbed our umbrellas and ran through the puddles... Look at our little angel standing on the curb looking likes she's in a movie scene! Big lover.

Last weekend Daddy & Mia had a looooong day setting up her new room. Mommy caught a picture of us resting in the evening. Can their be a more precious moment?!

Welcome to Disney!

Welcome to Disney! Don't be frightened by the wild animals, it's just Mia and her cousins... After the long 4th of July weekend we were invited up to LA for a few days of family fun at Disney Land! Grammy & Papa are forever being generous with all of the kids and grandkids, and this was no exception... We stayed at a beautiful hotel on the property and spent three fun filled days with Mia getting to enjoy her Grandparents and cousins Alec, Gavin & Hadley, along with Uncle Pat & Aunt Caren. Mia loves all of her cousins, but has a special affinity for Gavin, pictured above. He dotes on her constantly and it's just so sweet to watch him continually entertaining her, while looking out for her as well. One night, he even layed in bed with Mia and rubbed her forehead until she fell asleep! The bond they have is amazing... We're all very lucky to have such great family! It's hard to choose only a few photos to share, so here goes.

The Tourist...

Yep, that's our girl busting up the gangster version of a Mickey Mouse hat! She really is too damn much... The funny little personality she has developed seems to have no boundaries. Daddy decided to buy hats for the kids. Of course cousin Hadley, being a normal little girl, picks out traditional Mickey ears. Our midget? No can do. She picks out the strangest hat and matching glasses she can find, and won't remove them the rest of the day! You gotta love her individuality...

Character Breakfast!!

Grammy & Papa sure went all out! On our second day at Disney they arranged for a 'Character Breakfast'. May not sound like much to you or me, but let me tell you, at 2 years old the chance to have breakfast with all the Disney characters is akin to us winning the lottery! The joy on her face as she got to meet, hug and high five all of her favorite cartoon friends was priceless... Thanks Grammy & Papa, you guys are the best!

Mia's Best Friend Tigger!

When we finished breakfast and Mia had met just about everyone, she suddenly realized that she hadn't gotten a hug from Tigger! I'm not kidding... So Daddy went to track him down. Turns out Tigger was hiding out in the kitchen. With a little coaxing we were able to secure the obligatory hug for our precious little midget!

Somebody Loves Eeyore!

Not sure if you can see the pure joy on Mia's face as she got a hug from her pal Eeyore at the Character Breakfast! So sweet...

Shamu!!

Of course no trip to San Diego would be complete without a visit to Sea World! On Sunday we all went over to meet Shamu and check out the dolphins. Mia loved Shamu, until he flipped his tail a few times and drenched us with a wall of water! I'm thinking we maybe should have warned her about that one... Oops! All was good after we dried off and got the midget her favorite snack, popcorn. Here's Momma & the Princess on Sea World's gondola ride out over the bay. We had tons of fun with Cari, Perry & the cousins, including Mia's favorite, Nick!

Digging to China?!

We spent the weekend of the 4th at Mission Beach, in San Diego, with Mia's Uncle Perry, Aunt Cari and the cousins! Mia absolutely loves the beach and had no problem swimming in the chilly Pacific water... Back on land we decided to do a little digging and see what we'd find. Then, of course, the midget decided it would be funny to climb into the hole! Turned out to be the cutest damn picture... The fun never ends with this one. Isn't she adorable?

Night Night!

What an amazing sight to watch Mommy & Mia reading together in Mia's new bed! This whole experience moves by so quickly... Just a few months ago we were experiencing Mia's first tantrums. Thankfully, we all learned to give and take a bit, and things quickly settled back into near perfection. Each day I'm amazed that our lives continue to be so fun and full of love!

Big Girl Bed!!

Ladies & Gentlemen, I proudly present to you the 'Big Girl Bed'. Here it is, the finished product! Mia had an absolute blast bouncing on her new bed all afternoon... It's amazing how quickly she's turned into a little girl. She loves the freedom, and now comes the fun part of trying to put her to bed and convincing her to actually stay in bed. More details and stories to follow...

Big Girl Bed Preparation...

Mia is a solid Supervisor! She made sure that Daddy kept working while ensuring her fingers never left her mouth...

Bye Bye Crib!

The time has finally come to rid ourselves of the crib and make the journey to a big girl bed!! We were worried about how Mia may react, as she absolutely loves her crib. However, as soon as she saw that she & Daddy had a project to do together, she was all in... Here we are beginning our long Sunday with the crib tear down!

Happy 4th of July!

One of Mia's favorite things to do is decorate the front door with squishy, sticky decorations! Here she is intently applying red, white & blue stars in anticipation of July 4th... What a patriotic Midget. Happy Independence Day from our Midget to yours!!

The Circus!!

Last weekend Mia went to the circus for the first time! We had been telling her about it for weeks, and she was so exicted... It was amazing that she stayed interested for the entire 2 and a half hours. She used her arm to pretend she had a trunk when the elephants came out, but especially loved the lions & tigers! She's been talking about the Ringmaster ever since... Off to Disney this weekend!!
