Welcome to Disney!

Welcome to Disney! Don't be frightened by the wild animals, it's just Mia and her cousins... After the long 4th of July weekend we were invited up to LA for a few days of family fun at Disney Land! Grammy & Papa are forever being generous with all of the kids and grandkids, and this was no exception... We stayed at a beautiful hotel on the property and spent three fun filled days with Mia getting to enjoy her Grandparents and cousins Alec, Gavin & Hadley, along with Uncle Pat & Aunt Caren. Mia loves all of her cousins, but has a special affinity for Gavin, pictured above. He dotes on her constantly and it's just so sweet to watch him continually entertaining her, while looking out for her as well. One night, he even layed in bed with Mia and rubbed her forehead until she fell asleep! The bond they have is amazing... We're all very lucky to have such great family! It's hard to choose only a few photos to share, so here goes.

The Tourist...

Yep, that's our girl busting up the gangster version of a Mickey Mouse hat! She really is too damn much... The funny little personality she has developed seems to have no boundaries. Daddy decided to buy hats for the kids. Of course cousin Hadley, being a normal little girl, picks out traditional Mickey ears. Our midget? No can do. She picks out the strangest hat and matching glasses she can find, and won't remove them the rest of the day! You gotta love her individuality...

Character Breakfast!!

Grammy & Papa sure went all out! On our second day at Disney they arranged for a 'Character Breakfast'. May not sound like much to you or me, but let me tell you, at 2 years old the chance to have breakfast with all the Disney characters is akin to us winning the lottery! The joy on her face as she got to meet, hug and high five all of her favorite cartoon friends was priceless... Thanks Grammy & Papa, you guys are the best!

Mia's Best Friend Tigger!

When we finished breakfast and Mia had met just about everyone, she suddenly realized that she hadn't gotten a hug from Tigger! I'm not kidding... So Daddy went to track him down. Turns out Tigger was hiding out in the kitchen. With a little coaxing we were able to secure the obligatory hug for our precious little midget!

Somebody Loves Eeyore!

Not sure if you can see the pure joy on Mia's face as she got a hug from her pal Eeyore at the Character Breakfast! So sweet...

Shamu!!

Of course no trip to San Diego would be complete without a visit to Sea World! On Sunday we all went over to meet Shamu and check out the dolphins. Mia loved Shamu, until he flipped his tail a few times and drenched us with a wall of water! I'm thinking we maybe should have warned her about that one... Oops! All was good after we dried off and got the midget her favorite snack, popcorn. Here's Momma & the Princess on Sea World's gondola ride out over the bay. We had tons of fun with Cari, Perry & the cousins, including Mia's favorite, Nick!

Digging to China?!

We spent the weekend of the 4th at Mission Beach, in San Diego, with Mia's Uncle Perry, Aunt Cari and the cousins! Mia absolutely loves the beach and had no problem swimming in the chilly Pacific water... Back on land we decided to do a little digging and see what we'd find. Then, of course, the midget decided it would be funny to climb into the hole! Turned out to be the cutest damn picture... The fun never ends with this one. Isn't she adorable?
